How to get Taxes

How the left makes you want to give up your hard-earned cash
The government is essentially an over-fed cat. It does have its uses, but it has become a liability instead of an asset. I want to state that I do not think that we should throw of this government. However, reforms are need. This cat has found the bag of food is, and is pillaging it. Most surprisingly, we let them do it.

Everybody knows that coming in October of 2012 there will be graphic images on all you cigarette and other tobacco packages. What most people do not know is the reason for the images. It is not because people will quit smoking, rather the real reason behind it is so they can gather taxes. Remember, smokers hear the anti-tobacco ads also. When something is either addictive or necessary you cannot remove it. That would cause riots and hurt approval ratings. So why not tax it in the name of trying to help people get over there addition.
We see this happening in Europe. Many European countries, including the UK, Germany, Switzerland and cites including Landon, Paris and Vienna, have adopted measures unashamedly aimed at keeping cars offer the road.  Include in these measures are closing roads, charging hefty fees for driving, keeping gas prices high ($8/Gallon) and restricting the number of parking spaces available. The reason is that they want to cut down on pollution. Or so they say. It really is an attempt to be able to charge more taxes. My condolences to all the Europeans.

However, the United States is not exempt. Besides smoking, you have other things that the government demonizes so they can tax even more. Alcohol, gasoline, energy, oil, pesticides, chemicals, cars, planes, rich people, light bulbs, soda (they are trying), and much, much more.

You put it all together and it is crazy. You pay an excise tax to use the road when you buy gas, cars and licenses, and still tollbooths exist.  When you average it out you pay about 49.5 cents per gallon in taxes at the pump (no remember the government taxes heavily the production, refinement and transportation of gas.) Why? “Because cars pollute and we want people to buy more energy efficient vehicles.” Nevertheless, you can make a lot more money if we all drive SUVs.

Remember who the government is. They are people and people are prone to try to line their own pockets. People are inherently evil, that is a fact. I have seen many people and they are all bad. Admit it anyone can be a politician. There is only one solution and that is Christ. Christ will change the heart that no one else can. He does make all the difference. I am not ashamed of Christ. He is my Lord.
The only way to change government is to change those in power. This is something that must be done with the help of God. He can, and He is willing.
Romans 10:9,10,13 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 14For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Who Will Stand?

Wednesday the Hill published an article that made it appear as though Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) was considering running for president. The article stated that "Sen. Jim DeMint says he is considering running for president after frustrated conservative activists have pleaded with him to run."

Sen. DeMint's spokesman came out and put to rest any hope that he might run. With that move Sen. DeMint has joined former Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee and businessman Donald Trump in the not running circle. The GOP field is getting smaller by the minute.

What the GOP and America needs now is someone to stand tall. We need a candidate that will stand up to the left. One who has not stained himself with moral calamities. The good news is that former Governor Sarah Palin might run. And we still have Cain. So there is still hope.

However, what we really need is not a "reincarnate" Ronald Reagan. What we have to have is courage. We must have courage to stand up for what is right. We must not bow to the idol of peer pressure. If you have something you think is right stand for it. There must never be a compromise.

We must speak out. One voice is easy to dismiss. One-hundred is harder but not impossible. However, one-thousand voices make a noise that is to be reckoned with. What are you doing today so that we can still have tomorrow?

Praising God for His Wrath

Do I not hate them, O LORD, that hate Thee?” (Psalm 139:21).
A friend of mine on Facebook recently posted "I honestly believe celebrating Ben Laden's death IS a sin and you WILL be judged for it one day in Heaven" (emphasis original). This is a common error in today's Christian, and American, mind set. God has provided a lot of Scripture showing us that we are to rejoice at His judgment to the wicked. The saying "Hate the sin, but love the sinner" is simply not true and has no biblical foundation.

A clear understanding of God's Word  shows  that Christians are to celebrate  the judgement of God on his enemies (Psalm 3:7; 139:21; Gal. 1:9; Rev 6:10; 19:1-3 and many more). God's justice was served on May 1st and we are to rejoice and praise God because of his justice and wrath.

It is just for a man who has killed thousands for his "religion" to die. Justice is an awesome thing and must be kept in high honor. If we belittle justice because "He is a life" or "We should not hurt anyone" then what about the murders like Hitler, Stalin and  Hussein. It is only justice that if a man takes another man's life, by man his life shall be taken.

God is very strict concerning murders. Deuteronomy 19:13 states that "your eye is not to pity him". It is for government to use the sword in vain. they are God's avengers (Rom 13:4). God has given to them the authority to kill and when they kill it is to avenge evil.

It is of God that Ben Laden was kill, are Christians to morn an act of God? Are they allowed to decry God's justice? It is not the Christian place to question the judgment of God. God reigns.

However, when we hate are own enemies and not those who are God's we have taken the place of God. We must not hate because we have been wronged but, because God hates.

Jesus Himself whipped the money changers in the temple because the perverted God's worship. Our we not to hate those who kill innocent blood in His "name" too.

Tuscon Trouble

On Saturday, J. Eric Fuller came to be the spot light of the Tuscon shooting after he threatened a Tea Party leader at a televised forum. Trent Humphries, founder of the Tuscon Tea Party, had just suggested that all discussion about gun legislation be postponed until after the funerals of the dead victims of last week's shooting. He then started to comment that he too was affected by this tragedy because his neighbor was among those who were shot. At that point Mr. Fuller yelled "You’re dead!"
Mr. Fuller has stated that Republicans "appeal to simple-minded rednecks." And that Sarah Palin, and other  Republican leaders, were partially at fault for the shooting because they had created a toxic environment. He described the Tea Party as a "crime syndicate."
He has been charged with two misdemeanors in connection with his statements on Saturday.
It is people like Mr. Fuller who have kept this wound open longer than it should have been. Mr. Loughner should be executed for what he did. However, innocent men like Mr. Humphries should not have to be threatened. And national leaders of the Republicans should not even come up.
In the wake of these events, what should be done?
Mr. Humphries should publicly forgive Mr. Fuller for his comments. He then should offer his help to prevent this from happening again. He should not take offence and he should show that the Tea Party is about love and not hate. This way he would deflect Mr. Fuller’s passion.
Mr. Fuller is just a product of passion. Passion is a good thing as long as it can be controlled, but Mr. Loughner was passionate too. And so was  Timothy McVeigh, the man who caused the Oklahoma City bombing. Passion is a dangerous tool and we should make sure it never gets out of hand.

True Freedom

Here at Freedom's Fight I try to promote freedom. I  thought it high time that I defined freedom for you, and told you (again) how to get it. First things first, what is freedom? Pure freedom is the ability to do what you want when you and where you want. But if you think about it pure freedom is not obtainable for every one, since doing something that I want like stealing for example would take the freedoms of other people away.

This is foundational to the philosophy of government. Governments are a group of people who said that they would give up certain rights in order to protect more important ones. for instance giving up the right to drive recklessly on the road in order to make sure other people do not do the same.
But there are freedoms that Americans want. Those freedoms fall into three category, life, that is the right of protection against bodily harm,  liberty, that is the rights of travel, free speech, religion, and owning property, and the pursuit of happiness, that is the right to use your stuff in a manner that you want to use it, the acquisition of wealth and the right to be happy.
Governments are the defenders of those freedoms. How oppressive is it then when the government turns from defending those liberties to taking them?
However, true freedom is not found in government or people or things. True freedom is freedom from self, that is the freedom from doing wrong, from the lust that easily grab us. There is only one place you can find that kind of freedom and that is in Jesus Christ and what he did on the cross. When you find this freedom you find true happiness. Moreover it is easy to get.The Bible in the book of Romans in chapter 10 verse 9-11 says if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."
