Who Will Stand?

Wednesday the Hill published an article that made it appear as though Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) was considering running for president. The article stated that "Sen. Jim DeMint says he is considering running for president after frustrated conservative activists have pleaded with him to run."

Sen. DeMint's spokesman came out and put to rest any hope that he might run. With that move Sen. DeMint has joined former Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee and businessman Donald Trump in the not running circle. The GOP field is getting smaller by the minute.

What the GOP and America needs now is someone to stand tall. We need a candidate that will stand up to the left. One who has not stained himself with moral calamities. The good news is that former Governor Sarah Palin might run. And we still have Cain. So there is still hope.

However, what we really need is not a "reincarnate" Ronald Reagan. What we have to have is courage. We must have courage to stand up for what is right. We must not bow to the idol of peer pressure. If you have something you think is right stand for it. There must never be a compromise.

We must speak out. One voice is easy to dismiss. One-hundred is harder but not impossible. However, one-thousand voices make a noise that is to be reckoned with. What are you doing today so that we can still have tomorrow?
