Praising God for His Wrath

Do I not hate them, O LORD, that hate Thee?” (Psalm 139:21).
A friend of mine on Facebook recently posted "I honestly believe celebrating Ben Laden's death IS a sin and you WILL be judged for it one day in Heaven" (emphasis original). This is a common error in today's Christian, and American, mind set. God has provided a lot of Scripture showing us that we are to rejoice at His judgment to the wicked. The saying "Hate the sin, but love the sinner" is simply not true and has no biblical foundation.

A clear understanding of God's Word  shows  that Christians are to celebrate  the judgement of God on his enemies (Psalm 3:7; 139:21; Gal. 1:9; Rev 6:10; 19:1-3 and many more). God's justice was served on May 1st and we are to rejoice and praise God because of his justice and wrath.

It is just for a man who has killed thousands for his "religion" to die. Justice is an awesome thing and must be kept in high honor. If we belittle justice because "He is a life" or "We should not hurt anyone" then what about the murders like Hitler, Stalin and  Hussein. It is only justice that if a man takes another man's life, by man his life shall be taken.

God is very strict concerning murders. Deuteronomy 19:13 states that "your eye is not to pity him". It is for government to use the sword in vain. they are God's avengers (Rom 13:4). God has given to them the authority to kill and when they kill it is to avenge evil.

It is of God that Ben Laden was kill, are Christians to morn an act of God? Are they allowed to decry God's justice? It is not the Christian place to question the judgment of God. God reigns.

However, when we hate are own enemies and not those who are God's we have taken the place of God. We must not hate because we have been wronged but, because God hates.

Jesus Himself whipped the money changers in the temple because the perverted God's worship. Our we not to hate those who kill innocent blood in His "name" too.
